On March 20-21, 2015, CIC conducted a fifth round of Express Entry draws. The score required for an Invitation to Apply has been reduced significantly to 481. The number of eligible applicants has significantly increased to 1620.
For the first time since the launch of Express Entry individuals who do not possess a job offer with a Labour Market Impact Assessment or a Provincial nominee are eligible for a Invitation to apply.
The significant reduction of points required for an Invitation to Apply is a surprise, but it is extremely good news for those who have been negatively affected by the advent of Express Entry.
We will have an analysis of the type of individuals who would score such a point average in the coming days.
