On April 10-11, 2015, CIC conducted a seventh round of Express Entry draws. The score required for an Invitation to Apply has slightly increased to 469. The number of eligible applicants has decreased to 925.
This continues the trend of Invitations to Apply issued to individuals who do not possess a job offer with a Labour Market Impact Assessment or a Provincial Nominee certificate.
The slight increase in the points along with the smaller amount of eligible applicants may suggest that CIC is comfortable at holding the CRS points around the 450+ range. Realistically, this translates to a person who qualifies under one of the immigration streams but offers "something more" than just the bare minimum: whether it be Canadian job experience, higher education, or higher language ability.
