CIC Announced on May 25th that amendments have been made to the way Canadian Work Experience counts in non-continuous situations. Previous Canadian experience needed to be one continuous series of months or years (a major issue for work that is short term in duration). Now, some Express Entry applicants will see their scores rise as their CEC-eligible work experience becomes counted for express entry scoring.
This is great news for all Express Entry applicants. It provides a level of consistency between the Express Entry score and the Canadian Experience Class eligibility. These changes came into effect on May 30th, so you may need to re-check your score to see if your points have changed.
