A surprising Express Entry draw this Friday with the CRS points required went up considerably while the invitations issued plummeted. 799 Invitations to apply were sent out today with a CRS point threshold of 534 or higher. Last draw, the points were much lower at 468.
With higher points required and less invites in this draw, this is undesirable news to those in the Express Entry Pool awaiting an invite with a lower score.
Indeed it's been over a year since the Express Entry draw dipped below 1,000 invitations. Two draws in April 2015 were both under the mark and the first few draws ever were also under 1,000. It may be noteworthy that this occurred at roughly the same time last year, early spring.
